Story : While learning how to play guitar back in 2000, I came across a funky open string guitar tuning that Joni Mitchell used on a few songs, and I tried it. I kept my guitar in that tuning for almost a week because I had such difficulty tuning by ear. By the end of the week Waiting For A Letter was written. I confess I don't remember how to play this song anymore so I don't perform it live. I think it's one of my most romantic, poetic songs and expresses sincere and vulnerable sentiment which so honestly reflects human nature when it comes to love, longing and hope.
