I've been listening to NPR's Tiny Desk entries and I'm so inspired and impressed with the talent of many skill levels out there and I'm also excited about joining the wonderful community of musicians and songwriters who have submitted. I loosely recreated how I wrote 'Maybe it'll rain' in my video submission. A tiny slip of paper fell out from between two unfinished songs, sparked a feeling that “downloaded” into my soul within a half hour, and the entire song was born. While I'll never be a guitar virtuoso, my lovely guitar, named Rose, is my best writing buddy. My piano (I can manage a few chords) is my melody fine-tuning friend and vocal practice safe place, and a blank page inspires me to put words on it. I just love being a songwriter.
